The Central Illinois Apple and Macintosh Users Group (CIAMUG) is a non-profit club which exists to help central-Illinois Apple and Macintosh users get more out of their computers. Basically, we want to support the Apple/Mac platform and its users by helping each other.
Our meetings usually kick off with some brief updates from club officers (club status, treasury, elections, etc). This is usually followed by an informal question-and-answer session, where club members can ask questions about Apple/Mac related topics, problems, or advice. Club members are friendly and always willing to help a fellow user. Although many of our members are new to computers, many "expert" members have been using Apple/Macs for ten years or more. If they can't answer your questions, they can usually point you in the right direction. The remainder of the meeting varies from month to month, but usually involves some organized presentation, demonstration, hands-on session, or training. Often two such programs will go on simultaneously so that both new and experienced users alike can find something of interest. The atmosphere is informal and friendly, visitors are welcome, and there is no obligation or pressure to join the club.
Club membership costs just $12 per year (prorated for new members). In addition to the monthly meetings and expert advice, club members also receive an excellent monthly newsletter (filled with useful info, announcements, and tips) and free Apple/Mac classifieds in the club newsletter and web site.

As of Sep-2021, CIAMUG meets at 6:15 PM the second Monday of each month at the Peoria Public Library - North Branch. The library address is 3001 W Grand Parkway in Peoria. The library is near the end of W Townline Rd, behind Menards off of Allen Rd.
